This SAE Information Report SAE J2836/6 establishes use cases for communication between plug-in electric vehicles and the EVSE for wireless energy transfer as specified in SAE J2954. It addresses the requirements for communications between the on-board charging system and the wireless EV supply equipment (WEVSE) in support of detection of the WEVSE, the charging process, and monitoring of the charging process. Since the communication to the charging infrastructure and the power grid for smart charging will also be communicated by the WEVSE to the EV over the wireless interface, these requirements are also covered. However, the processes and procedures are expected to be identical to those specified for V2G communications specified in SAE J2836/1. Where relevant, the specification notes interactions that may be required between the vehicle and vehicle operator, but does not formally specify them. This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) provides a method for gas turbine engine performance computer programs to be written using Fortran COMMON blocks. If a “function-call application program interface” (API) is to be used, then ARP4868 and ARP5571 are recommended as alternatives to that described in this document. When it is agreed between the program user and supplier that a particular program shall be supplied in Fortran, this document shall be used in conjunction with AS681 for steady-state and transient programs. This document also describes how to take advantage of the Fortran CHARACTER storage to extend the information interface between the calling program and the engine subroutine.

This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) covers the general requirements for the design, manufacture, and test of 28 VDC, 270 VDC, and 115 VAC solid-state power controllers (SSPCs) for use in electrical power systems. SSPCs conforming to this standard are intended for use in controlling the making and breaking of power circuits for electrically operated equipment and devices, and for providing overload and short-circuit protection. Applications that require SSPCs to have a high level of performance in some areas or may be exposed to harsher electrical or environmental conditions are designated as CLASS A. Applications that utilize SSPCs in moderate level of performance or are exposed to a controlled environment are designated as CLASS C. Applicability of both MIL-STD-704 and RTCA DO-160G have been considered when determining the performance standards for the designated classes of SSPCs. The fluid flow treated in this section is isothermal, subsonic, and incompressible. The effects of heat addition, work on the fluid, variation in sonic velocity, and changes in elevation are neglected. An incompressible fluid is one in which a change in pressure causes no resulting change in fluid density. The assumption that liquids are incompressible introduces no appreciable error in calculations, but the assumption that a gas is incompressible introduces an error of a magnitude that is dependent on the fluid velocity and on the loss coefficient of the particular duct section or piece of equipment. Fig. 1A-1 shows the error in pressure drop resulting from assuming that air is incompressible. With reasonably small loss coefficients and the accuracy that is usually required in most calculations, compressible fluids may be treated as incompressible for velocities less than Mach 0.2. The primary objective of this document is to describe the systematic and random measurement uncertainties which may be expected when testing gas turbine engines in a range of different test facilities. The documentation covers a "traditional" method for estimating pretest uncertainties and a "new" method for computing and comparing posttest uncertainties. To determine these posttest uncertainties, data generated during the AGARD Uniform Engine Test Program (UETP) were analyzed and compared to the pretest estimates. The proposed procedure provides a mechanism for determining the expected accuracy of test results obtained from facilities which were not previously cross calibrated. Furthermore, the method can be used to assist in making cost-effective management decisions on the level of validation/cross calibration necessary when bringing a test facility on line. This document is also intended to act as a guide for improving uncertainty analyses in a broad spectrum of related industries

SAE/USCAR-45 defines test methods and performance requirements for ultrasonically-welded wire-to-wire splices for automotive applications. Face-to-face, butt splice, and center strip configurations per Figure 1 can be tested. The tests defined in this specification subject samples on test to stresses that simulate a lifetime of exposure for a road vehicle. Stresses called out in this specification include thermal shock, temperature/humidity cycling and mechanical stress from different directions.
