E-25 General Standards for Aerospace and Propulsion Systems
This study addresses the adequacy of sockets, wrenches, and torque adapters conforming to AS954 to wrench 12 point fasteners with wrenching configurations conforming to AS870C. Reported wrenching problems with smaller sizes are investigated through examining the combined tolerances on the fasteners and wrenches, conducting torque testing on typical high strength lock nuts. Possible solutions to correct these wrenching problems are presented.

This Aerospace Standard (AS) defines the requirements for polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) heavy duty hose assemblies suitable for use in aircraft and missile hydraulic fluid systems service to 8000 psi and -65 to 400 °F. Gaseous service shall be limited to 150 °F.
G-3, Aerospace Couplings, Fittings, Hose, Tubing Assemblies
This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) establishes the specifications and descriptions of the critical components and operational guidelines for the standard hydraulic impulse machine for testing hydraulic hose assemblies, tubing, coils, fittings and similar fluid system components. This revision to the AIR1228 provides a description of a system that meets the requirements for specifications including: AS603, AS4265, and ARP1383. This impulse system utilizes closed loop servo control with specifically generated command signal waveforms. Data accuracy and integrity are emphasized in this revision. Knowing the uncertainty of the pressure measurement is important whether using a resonator tube system, as described in the original release of this document, or a closed-loop systems as described in this release. The accuracy of the data measurement system and consistency of the pressure waveform are fundamental to test validity, regardless of the system type. This is discussed in more

The scope of this document is related to the particular needs of oxygen equipment with regards to packaging and transportation. The document provides guidance for handling chemical, gaseous and liquid oxygen equipment. It summarizes national and international regulations to be taken into account for transportation on land, sea and air and provides information on classification of hazardous material. The aim of this document is to summarize information on packaging and transportation of oxygen equipment. Statements and references to regulations cited herein are for information only and should not be considered as interpretation of a law. Processes to maintain cleanliness of components and subassemblies during processing and assembly or storage of work-in-progress are outside the scope of this document. Guidance on this can be obtained from ARP1176. Rules for transportation and shipment do not cover oxygen equipment installed in an interior monument, e.g., galley unit or in a fuselage
A-10 Aircraft Oxygen Equipment Committee
Primarily to provide the aerospace industry with approximate standards for comparing various shaped sections to round bars, in determining the response to hardening characteristics when heat treating low-alloy and martensitic corrosion-resistant steels.
AMS E Carbon and Low Alloy Steels Committee
This document is an annex to EIA Engineering Bulletin SSB-1, Guidelines for Using Plastic Encapsulated Microcircuits and Semiconductors in Military, Aerospace and Other Rugged Applications (the latest revision). The scope of this document is to establish the recommended minimum qualification and monitoring testing of plastic encapsulated microcircuits and discrete semiconductors suitable for potential use in many rugged, military, severe, or other environments.
CE-12 Solid State Devices
This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) identifies Propulsion Engineer’s recommendations for the instrumentation that is required for the safe operation and maintenance of turbine engines as installed in helicopters. It should be used as a guide for cockpit layout, as well as a reference for maintenance considerations throughout the propulsion area. Propulsion instruments should receive attention early in the design phase of the helicopter. Maintenance and diagnostics recorders are not considered within the scope of this document. (See ARP1587, “Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine Monitoring System Guide”.)
S-12 Powered Lift Propulsion Committee
This supplement forms a part of the Aerospace Standard AS604, Hose Assembly, Polytetrafluoroethylene, Metallic Reinforced, 3000 psi, 400 °F, Heavyweight, Hydraulic and Pneumatic, and shall be used to identify hose assembly standards citing this procurement specification.
G-3, Aerospace Couplings, Fittings, Hose, Tubing Assemblies
This Metric Aerospace Standard (MA) covers the requirements for polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) hose assemblies for use in aerospace hydraulic, fuel, and lubricating oil systems at temperatures between -55°C and 232°C for Class I assemblies, -55°C and 135°C for Class II assemblies, and at nominal pressures up to 10 500 kPa (105 bar). The hose assemblies are also suitable for use within the same temperature and pressure limitations in aerospace pneumatic systems where some gaseous diffusion through the wall of the PTFE liner can be tolerated. The use of these hose assemblies in pneumatic storage systems is not recommended. In addition, installations in which the limits specified herein are exceeded, or in which the application is not covered specifically by this standard, for example oxygen, shall be subject to the approval of the purchaser.

This report provides information on the design and use of aircraft oxygen systems. It explains the physiological oxygen requirements of the human body in both a normal environment and in an hypoxic environment. It includes an overview of the continuous flow, demand and pressure demand, and liquid oxygen systems. A basic understanding of how each system operates is then specifically addressed in its own titled section. The charts, tables, and schematics provide a specific example of a theoretical oxygen system design and the calculations showing how that system would meet the regulations established by the FAR’s. A comprehensive overview of the theoretical oxygen requirements of the human body at altitude is also provided. A detailed list of specifications and standards applicable to aircraft oxygen systems is included.
