- AMS5919C is the result of a Five-Year Review and update of the specification. The revision updates the methods and reporting of composition (see 3.1 and 3.1.1), adds cooling notes and pyrometry control (see 3.5.2), implements strain rate control during tensile testing (see 3.5.2.1.1), adds acceptance per tensile properties (see 3.5.2.2), advises in use of nickel tables (see 8.3), allows the use of prior revisions (see 8.5), and updates the size exclusion requirements (see 1.1, 4.4.5, and 8.6).
