This document describes a standard method for measuring the viscosity of thickened (AMS1428) Type II/III/IV Aircraft Deicing/Anti-icing Fluids. The determination of viscosity for a Non-Newtonian fluid is very sensitive to shear and differences in sample chamber geometry. Even slight differences can have a large effect on measurement results. The test parameters and associated error for this standard are applicable to the Brookfield LV viscometer. A Brookfield LV or equivalent viscometer shall be used. To be considered equivalent, an alternate viscometer must demonstrate statistically equivalent performance, i.e., accuracy and precision when testing thickened (AMS1428) fluids using the same test parameters and conditions.Test parameters and conditions outside of the ranges described within this standard may be used only if they meet minimum limits for precision and accuracy established for the Brookfield LV viscometer. To compare viscosities, the same test parameters and conditions

This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) covers high strength thin wall ratcheting box wrenches which possess the strength, clearances, and internal wrenching design so configured that, when mated with bihexagonal (12 point) fasteners conforming to the requirement of AS870 for inch sizes and ISO 4095 for metric sizes, they shall transmit torque to the fastener without bearing on the outer 5% of the fastener’s wrenching points. Inclusion of dimensional data in this document is not intended to imply that all products described herein are stock production sizes. Consumers are requested to consult with manufacturers concerning lists of stock production sizes. The dimensional limits of box and combination wrench lengths have been established to provide configuration control for tool storage applications.
EG-1B Hand Tools Committee
AS5259 covers design requirements, performance requirements, and methods of procurement for tools and associated accessories used to crimp wire barrels of aircraft electrical wiring components including ferrules, terminals, splices, and connector contacts on wire/cable sizes 8 to 4/0.
AE-8C2 Terminating Devices and Tooling Committee
THIS STANDARD ESTABLISHES THE DIMENSIONAL AND VISUAL QUALITY REQUIREMENTS, LOT REQUIREMENTS, AND PACKAGING AND LABELING REQUIREMENTS FOR O-RINGS MOLDED FROM AMS7270 (MATERIAL NAME) RUBBER. IT SHALL BE USED FOR PROCUREMENT PURPOSES.
A-6C2 Seals Committee
This document provides information applicable to the design and development of portable and aircraft mounted cabin air contaminant sensors. This AIR complements any future portable or aircraft-mounted cabin air sensor standards.
AC-9M Cabin Air Measurement Committee
This standard establishes the dimensional and visual quality requirements, lot requirements, and packaging and labeling requirements for O-rings molded from AMS7267 rubber. It shall be used for procurement purposes.

This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) provides recommendations for the design and test requirements for a spring-loaded, normally-closed hydraulic check valve. The check valve is intended for use in a civil or military aircraft hydraulic system with a rated system pressure up to 5000 psi (34500 kPa).
A-6C5 Components Committee
This standard is applicable to manual soldering and machine soldering processes utilizing controlled soldering devices, for electrical connections for wiring and cabling used in aerospace vehicles. Description of a component or device herein is not to be construed as authorizing the use of the component or device.
AE-8A Elec Wiring and Fiber Optic Interconnect Sys Install
This standard is applicable to all phases of the system acquisition life cycle. It is intended for use on all programs with manufacturing content. It requires proven manufacturing management practices with the goal of delivering affordable and capable systems to the extent that it is invoked contractually. The term “organization” as used in this document refers to the company or facility that is implementing this standard, such as when imposed contractually by the customer.
G-23 Manufacturing Management Committee
The scope of this SAE Aerospace Information Report includes practical applications, theory, process management, audit and control recommendations, recommended validation intervals, verification and validation, file setup parameters, additional considerations, and process documentation.
EG-1A Balancing Committee
This report provides cross reference matrices detailing current test methods used in the qualification processes of fiber optic connectors, termini and cables for aerospace, telecommunications, and naval applications. The cross-reference allows the end user to select the test methods most suitable for qualifying a component, or to identify alternative test methods where a specific test is not defined in a referenced document. The report also provides information on what area each type of referenced document has been developed for.
AS-3 Fiber Optics and Applied Photonics Committee
This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) provides details of how to perform hydraulic system calculations using equations that incorporate the metric International System of Units (SI).
A-6 Aerospace Actuation, Control and Fluid Power Systems
This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) reviews performance testing parameters for fuel filter elements utilized in gas turbine engine and APU main fuel systems. The scope is limited to main fuel filter elements rated at 35 μm(c), or finer, which constitute the majority of contemporary engine main fuel system filtration. This document does not address icing tests specific to fuel filter elements since they are only required for certain engine designs and are custom test procedures. General information on icing tests for aircraft fuel system components can be found in ARP1401. This document also does not address fuel filter elements utilized in fuel hydraulic systems since it is outside the scope of this document, This document is confined to laboratory testing of filter element performance to qualify the filtration medium and filter element construction as opposed to qualification of the complete fuel filter assembly. The testing discussed here is usually followed by laboratory and
AE-5B Aircraft and Engine Fuel and Lubricant Sys Components
This document reviews current aerospace software, hardware, and system development standards used in the certification/approval process of safety-critical airborne and ground-based systems, and assesses whether these standards are compatible with a typical Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) development approach. The document then outlines what is required to produce a standard that provides the necessary accommodation to support integration of ML-enabled sub-systems into safety-critical airborne and ground-based systems, and details next steps in the production of such a standard.

The purpose of this document is to specify the O-ring sizes that are suitable for quality conformance testing (limited to hardness, tensile tests, compression set, specific gravity, and volume swell per ASTM D1414) required by AMS-7xxx series of specifications. In addition, suppliers and/or users, at their own discretion and/or according to their procurement documents, may choose to invoke this specification for procurement or other purposes for O-ring sizes that are not covered by AS568. If additional tests are specified as quality conformance tests in any AMS-7xxx specification, then that specification shall also specify the required test size for that additional test. This document does not address O-ring size for qualification testing required by AMS-7xxx series of specifications since that is already specified in the AMS-7xxx specification. This document only covers O-ring sizes required by test type. These O-ring sizes include, but are not limited to, AS568-xxx O-ring sizes
