Body pressure distribution on the seat is simply the measurement and visual reporting of pressure between the human body and the supporting surface of the seat. The main objective of this paper is to correlate the body pressure distribution to simulation at the same time to raise awareness of several different human seating postures during BPD measurement that has an influence on the pressure map reading as well as the correlation of the physical pressure distribution map to the virtually measured pressure map reading. A common issue is sometimes a different BPD map is captured even if the same person sits on the same seat. This paper will discuss in detail the influence of these seating postures during BPD measurement with the help of a virtual comfort analysis tool and physical testing.
