- The criteria defined herein shall be utilized by an ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation Body (AB) to establish conformance with AS6171 Test Methods Standard; General Requirements, Suspect/Counterfeit, Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical Parts and associated AS6171 Test Methods requested/included on the scope of accreditation.

- This standard was developed to achieve consistency in the accreditation of Test Laboratories performing detection of suspect/counterfeit parts to the requirements of AS6171 Test Methods Standard, General Requirements, Suspect/Counterfeit, Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical Parts and the associated AS6171 Test Methods.The standard provides assessment requirements and guidance to an Accreditation Body for the purpose of accreditation of Test Laboratory capabilities in detection of suspect/counterfeit Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) Parts.
