Scope

Content: This specification establishes the design, performance, and test requirements for hydraulic quantity measuring fuses intended to be used for hydraulic circuit protection.

Rationale

Content: Subsequent to the cancellation of MIL-F-5006, Quantity Measuring Fuse-Hydraulic, the SAE committee membership determined there was a need for a replacement specification which is presented below.

AS5466 has been reaffirmed to comply with the SAE Five-Year Review policy.
