Scope

Content: This standard sets forth requirements of an airborne OMEGA Navigation System (ONS). OMEGA operated in the frequency band between 10 and 14 kHz, utilizing signals radiated by ground stations. The ARINC 599 Mark 2 OMEGA is configured such that it can be plugged into an ARINC 580 Mark 1 OMEGA installation.
