Content: This specification covers a corrosion- and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of welding wire.

Rationale

Content: AMS5837H is the result of a Five-Year Review and update of the specification. The revision revises the composition testing method and reporting (see 3.1 and 3.1.2), prohibits unauthorized exceptions (see 4.4.1, 5.3.1, and 8.4), requires reporting of country of origin (see 4.4), updates alloy verification requirements (see 5.2), and allows for prior revisions (see 8.3).
