AMS5649J is the result of a Five-Year Review and update of the specification. The revision updates the Title to match the Scope, updates the method and reporting of composition (see 3.1 and 3.1.1), adds quality requirements for bar (see 3.4.2 and 8.5), updates exceptions requirements (see 4.4.3 and 8.6), revises reporting of larger product sizes (see 4.4.2), and adds options for additional forging properties (see 4.4.4 and 8.7).
