Scope

Content: This specification covers a butyl (IIR) rubber in the form of sheet, strip, tubing, extrusions, and molded shapes.

Rationale

Content: AMS3238G is update directing use of AMS7338 for O-rings and other compression seals. Sealing components covered by AMS7338 are now excluded from AMS3238G. The specification is revised to require O-rings and other seals to be procured using AMS7338.
