ACBG Rolling Element Bearing Committee
This test method provides a procedure for measuring no-load rotational breakaway torque of self-lubricating spherical bearings.
ACBG Plain Bearing Committee
The primary objective of this recommended practice is to confirm that vehicles can communicate a minimum set of information in accordance with diagnostic test services specified in SAE J1979-2, or the equivalent ISO 14229-1:2013 (Ed. 2) and SAE J1979-3 documents. A successful result using the SAE J1699-5 Automotive Alliance for Innovation (AAI) software for OBD-II testing indicates that the main aspects of UDS communication have been examined, but it does not provide assurance of complete compliance with all aspects of SAE J1979-2 or SAE J1979-3. SAE J1699-5 tests run with a SAE J2534 device hardware and API that is not fully compliant will result in a test failure. This specification takes precedence over all conflicts in the documents cited in this section.

This SAE Information Report establishes a uniform procedure for assuring the manufactured quality, installed utility, and performance of automotive remote steering controls other than those provided by the vehicle manufacturer (OEM). These products are intended to provide driving capability to persons with physical disabilities. The adaptive modifications seek to compensate for lost or reduced function in the extremities of the driver with a disability. Remote steering controls are designed to provide a steering input device alternative to the OEM steering wheel that either reduces the required input force, changes the required range of motion or changes the location of the steering control, or any combination of the above. These controls supplement by power, other than by the driver’s own muscular efforts, the force output of the driver with a disability. Because this is an Information Report, the numerical values for performance measurements presented in this report and in the

AE-5C Aviation Ground Fueling Systems Committee
The proposed Digital Mesh/Fabric concept builds upon the Digital Thread Framework (refer to AIR7161) by representing the interconnection of multiple digital threads across multiple data stores, logical organizing segments, and product life-cycle stages. Unlike a single digital thread, which follows a linear or sequential flow of data utilization through a product life cycle, the Digital Mesh/Fabric forms a complex mesh of n-dimensional interconnected digital threads, allowing for greater value creation, flexibility in data utilization, scalability, and integration.
G-31 Digital Transactions for Aerospace
This specification covers a corrosion- and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of sheet, strip, and plate.
AMS F Corrosion and Heat Resistant Alloys Committee
This SAE Recommended Practice specifies a method to reduce and stabilize the moisture of products containing brake friction material (disc brake pads, drum brake shoes, friction blocks) so the parts are conditioned and maintained in a stable low moisture state.

AS-2C Architecture Analysis and Design Language
The purpose of this document is to establish guidelines for determining the critical R134a and R1234yf refrigerant charge for off-road, self-propelled work machines as defined in SAE J1116 and agricultural tractors as defined in ANSI/ASAE S390. It will develop a minimum to maximum refrigerant charge range in which the HVAC system can maintain proper operation. Operating conditions and characteristics of the equipment will influence the optimum charge. Since these conditions and characteristics vary greatly from one application to another, careful consideration should be taken to determine the optimum R134a and R1234yf refrigerant charge for the HVAC system.

This practice provides a method for evaluating microhardness and microstructure very close (0.002 inch (0.051 mm) or less) to the surface of a disk specimen. Specific accept/reject criteria for partial decarburization (3.7.1), inadvertent carburization/nitriding (3.7.3), total decarburization/intergranular oxidation (3.8), and other characteristics evaluated are to be found in the applicable specification where this ARP is referenced.
AMS E Carbon and Low Alloy Steels Committee
This SAE Recommended Practice defines the test stand and procedure for evaluating radial impacts of all wheels intended for passenger cars and light trucks. A minimum performance requirement is intentionally not provided. The intent is to establish a uniform method and test stand for imparting damage and evaluating radial impacts. A minimum performance requirement will be a proposed change when users determine what is of most value.

E-25 General Standards for Aerospace and Propulsion Systems
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) defines Minimum Performance Standards (MPS), qualification requirements, and minimum documentation requirements for side-facing seats in civil rotorcraft, transport aircraft, and general aviation aircraft. The goal is to achieve comfort, durability, and occupant protection under normal operational loads and to define test and evaluation criteria to demonstrate occupant protection when a side-facing seat/occupant/restraint system is subjected to statically applied ultimate loads and to dynamic test conditions set forth in Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 23, 25, 27, or 29. While this document addresses system performance, responsibility for the seating system is divided between the seat supplier and the installation applicant. The seat supplier’s responsibility consists of meeting all the seat system performance requirements and obtaining and supplying to the installation applicant all the data prescribed by this document. The
Aircraft Seat Committee

These requirements are applicable to IAQG sector schemes when making use of ABs, CRBs and their auditors, for the assessment and certification/registration of supplier quality systems in accordance with the requirements of this document. The quality management system standard used by the CRB shall be 9100/9110/9120, as appropriate to the supplier’s activities. It shall be applied to the supplier’s complete Quality System that covers aerospace products. Sectors may use these requirements for other standards. IAQG members have committed to recognize the equivalence of certification/registration of a suppliers quality management system to either of the AS, EN or JISQ/SJAC standards. This AS provides the approval process for Auditor Authentication Bodies (AAB), training course providers, trainers and auditors who meet the requirements of AIR5493 and outlines the America’s sector specific process to implement AS9104.
