This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) recommends a methodology to be used for the design, analysis and test evaluation of modern helicopter gas turbine propulsion system stability and transient response characteristics. This methodology utilizes the computational power of modern digital computers to more thoroughly analyze, simulate and bench-test the helicopter engine/rotor system speed control loop over the flight envelope. This up-front work results in significantly less effort expended during flight test and delivers a more effective system into service. The methodology presented herein is recommended for modern digital electronic propulsion control systems and also for traditional analog and hydromechanical systems.
This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) provides descriptions of aircraft flight control actuation system failure-detection methods. The fault-detection methods are those used for ground and in-flight detection of failures in electrohydraulic actuation systems for primary flight controls.
This specification covers the specific requirements for 2014 aluminum alloy alclad plate and sheet; the general requirements are covered in AMS-QQ-A-250. The plate and sheet covered by this specification shall be an integral composite product consisting of a heat-treatable aluminum alloy (2014) core with thin layers of an aluminum alloy (6003) anodic to the core and of approximately equal thickness bonded to both surfaces.
This document presents criteria for design and location of passenger reading lights in commercial aircraft. For LED reading light requirements, see ARP5873, titled: LED Passenger Reading Light Assembly.
This specification covers the requirements for three types and three classes for vacuum deposited cadmium coating.
This specification covers a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin filled with carbon and graphite in the form of extruded or molded rods or tubes which are sintered after molding or, in the case of extrusions, sintered during the extrusion process.
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes the geometric control requirements for bolts, screws, and studs where worded notes and symbolized notes are used for straightness, concentricity, squareness, and runout.
