This SAE Information Report SAE J2836/6 establishes use cases for communication between plug-in electric vehicles and the EVSE for wireless energy transfer as specified in SAE J2954. It addresses the requirements for communications between the on-board charging system and the wireless EV supply equipment (WEVSE) in support of detection of the WEVSE, the charging process, and monitoring of the charging process. Since the communication to the charging infrastructure and the power grid for smart charging will also be communicated by the WEVSE to the EV over the wireless interface, these requirements are also covered. However, the processes and procedures are expected to be identical to those specified for V2G communications specified in SAE J2836/1. Where relevant, the specification notes interactions that may be required between the vehicle and vehicle operator, but does not formally specify them. Similarly, communications between the on-board charging sub-system and the on-board vehicle

This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) provides a method for gas turbine engine performance computer programs to be written using Fortran COMMON blocks. If a “function-call application program interface” (API) is to be used, then ARP4868 and ARP5571 are recommended as alternatives to that described in this document. When it is agreed between the program user and supplier that a particular program shall be supplied in Fortran, this document shall be used in conjunction with AS681 for steady-state and transient programs. This document also describes how to take advantage of the Fortran CHARACTER storage to extend the information interface between the calling program and the engine subroutine.

This SAE Recommended Practice defines a guideline for the fuel injection pump designer to select appropriate fastener designs which are considered to be tamper-resistant. It applies to fuel injection pumps used on diesel engines.
Diesel Fuel Injection Equipment Standards Committee
This standard is applicable to all items used for manufacturing, maintenance, and repair of aviation, space, and defense products from the raw material to the final product (e.g., aircraft, structural items, constituent assemblies, standard parts, consumables with conformity and/or safety impact). This standard considers items dispositioned as scrap in accordance with 9100-series standards’ supporting nonconformity management, corrective action, or organization decisions (e.g., obsolescence, inventory management, missing traceability documentation). The requirements specified in this standard are complementary (not alternative) to contractual and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Should there be a conflict between the requirements of this standard and applicable statutory or regulatory requirements, the applicable statutory or regulatory requirements take precedence. This standard defines requirements and actions to be taken after the disposition decision to control the

This document covers the process to be applied to design characteristics (as defined in AS9102), parts or inspection processes as defined by the purchaser. Design characteristics not included within the scope include electronic, electromechanical or mechanical systems where alternative means of acceptance are approved such as through acceptance test procedures (ATPs). This document does not define processes for identifying or communicating the classification of the parts or design characteristics. This document does not define the procedure to qualify a supplier to undertake these requirements. It is expected that each purchaser will have a procedure to manage the flow-down of these requirements. This document applies to suppliers that demonstrate adequate proficiency in applicable process control methods as determined by the purchaser.
G-22 Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality (AESQ) Committee
This specification covers the requirements for one grade of remover of various organic coatings from aircraft parts.
AMS J Aircraft Maintenance Chemicals and Materials Committee
This SAE Standard was developed to provide a method for indicating the direction of engine rotation and numbering of engine cylinders. The document is intended for use in designing new engines to eliminate the differences which presently exist in industry.
Engine Power Test Code Committee
This standard defines the requirements for the effective control of non-deliverable software. This standard can be used during the design, development, test, production, release, use, maintenance, and retirement of non-deliverable software. This can include non-deliverable software procured from external suppliers and utilized in the design, production, evaluation, test, acceptance, or calibration of a deliverable product. This standard focuses solely on the unique requirements of the operational processes that pertain to non-deliverable software as identified by clause 1.2. Operational processes not covered in this standard are addressed by the respective organization’s Quality Management System (QMS), based on the 9100-series (i.e., 9100, 9110, 9120) and/or ISO 9001 standards. If there is a conflict between the requirements of this standard, and customer or applicable statutory/regulatory requirements, the latter shall take precedence.
G-14 Americas Aerospace Quality Standards Committee (AAQSC)
This SAE Standard covers the mechanical and material requirements for eight property classes of steel, externally threaded metric fasteners in sizes M1.6 through M36, inclusive, and suitable for use in automotive and related applications.

This document provides vehicle-level data collection, data analysis, and data verification procedures that may be used to verify that an instrument under test (IUT) satisfies the vehicle-level requirements specified in the SAE International (SAE) J2945/1 standard. For the purposes of this recommended practice, “vehicle-level requirements” primarily consist of those requirements which can be verified external to the vehicle. The IUT for these procedures is a configured dedicated short range communications (DSRC) vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) device as defined in SAE J2945/1 and is installed on a light vehicle. While the IUT is conceptually separated from the vehicle it is installed on, the tests outlined in this document are primarily vehicle-level so the terms “vehicle” and “IUT” can generally be considered interchangeable. Additionally, non-vehicle-level complementary tests, not included in this document, are required to verify that the entire set of requirements specified in SAE J2945/1

The objective of any organization, as part of continual improvement, is to reduce the number of issues (i.e., undesirable conditions, defects, failures) and to minimize their impact on quality, delivery performance, and cost. This includes having processes in place to detect and eradicate significant and recurrent issues, which implies having well identified problems, a common understanding of their impact and associated root causes, and having defined and implemented adequate actions so that these problems, including similar issues will not happen again.
