This supplement forms a part of SAE Aerospace Specification AS85421. It shall be used to identify fitting standards citing this procurement specification.
G-3, Aerospace Couplings, Fittings, Hose, Tubing Assemblies
This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) documents a common understanding of terms, compliance issues, and design criteria to facilitate certification of seat installations specific to Part 25 aircraft. This ARP provides general guidance for seats to be installed in Part 23 aircraft and Parts 27 and 29 rotorcraft and does not specify specific designs or design methods for such certification.

G-3, Aerospace Couplings, Fittings, Hose, Tubing Assemblies
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) covers the requirements for a flexible, lightweight, low pressure, self-extinguishing, silicone hose assembly. The hose has a fully fluorinated fluoropolymer inner liner and is primarily intended for use in aircraft potable water systems.
G-3, Aerospace Couplings, Fittings, Hose, Tubing Assemblies
This document defines a physical layer having a high bandwidth capacity utilizing the Flexible Data Rate Frame Format as defined in ISO 11898-1:2015. CAN controllers which support this format and compatible high speed transceivers are required for use on SAE J1939-17 networks. This SAE Recommended Practice is intended for light- and heavy-duty vehicles on- or off-road as well as appropriate stationary applications which use vehicle derived components (e.g., generator sets). Vehicles of interest include but are not limited to: on- and off-highway trucks and their trailers; construction equipment; and agricultural equipment and implements.
Truck and Bus Control and Communications Network Committee
This specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of sheet, strip, and plate on product 0.008 to 3.000 inches (0.20 to 76.20 mm), inclusive, in thickness (see 8.6).
AMS G Titanium and Refractory Metals Committee
G-3, Aerospace Couplings, Fittings, Hose, Tubing Assemblies
This specification covers a corrosion and heat-resistant steel alloy in the form of pre-alloyed powder.
AMS AM Additive Manufacturing Metals
This specification covers a fiberglass reinforced silicone rubber in the form of sheet, strip, and molded parts.
AMS CE Elastomers Committee
This specification covers methacrylate sheets, rods and tubes produced by casting or machining cast blanks. This specification does not apply to heat-formed and molded or extruded shapes, or shapes made by assembling two or more pieces.
AMS P Polymeric Materials Committee
This document describes analytical methods for calculating the attenuation of the level of the sound propagating from an airplane to locations on the ground and to the side of the flight path of an airplane during ground roll, climbout after liftoff, and landing operations. Both level and non-level ground scenarios may be modeled using these methods, however application is only directly applicable to terrain without significant undulations, which may cause multiple reflections and/or multiple shielding effects. This attenuation is termed lateral attenuation and is in excess of the attenuation from wave divergence and atmospheric absorption. The methods for calculating the lateral attenuation of the sound apply to: turbofan-powered transport-category airplanes with engines mounted at the rear of the fuselage (on the sides of the fuselage or in the center of the fuselage as well as on the sides) or under the wings propeller-driven transport-category or general-aviation airplanes
A-21 Aircraft Noise Measurement Aviation Emission Modeling
E-25 General Standards for Aerospace and Propulsion Systems
This specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of pre-alloyed powder.
AMS AM Additive Manufacturing Metals
The purpose of this SAE Standard is to provide equipment specifications for CFC-12 (R-12) recovery for return to a refrigerant reclamation facility that will process it to the appropriate ARI Standard (Air Conditioning and Refrigerant Institute) or allow for recycling of the recovered refrigerant in equipment that is certified to meet the requirements of SAE J1991. Under the existing rule, the U.S. EPA requires refrigerant removed from a mobile air-conditioning (A/C) system using recovery equipment certified to meet SAE J2209 can only be recycled using equipment meeting SAE J1991 that is owned by the same company or individual. It is not acceptable that the refrigerant removed from a mobile A/C system, with this equipment, be directly returned to a mobile A/C system. This information applies to equipment used to service automobiles, light trucks, and other vehicles with similar CFC-12 (R-12) systems.

AMS G Titanium and Refractory Metals Committee
This part of SAE J514 covers general and dimensional specifications for 37 degree flared tube fittings. Also included are 37 degree flared fittings with NPTF pipe threads in Appendix B. These fittings are intended for general application in hydraulic systems on industrial equipment and commercial products. These fittings are capable of providing leak-proof, full flow connections in hydraulic systems operating at working pressures as specified in Table 6. Since many factors influence the pressure at which a hydraulic system will or will not perform satisfactorily, the values shown in Table 6 should not be construed as a guaranteed minimum. For any application, it is recommended that sufficient testing be conducted and reviewed by both the user and fitting manufacturer to assure that performance levels will be safe and satisfactory.
Hydraulic Tube Fittings Committee
This document defines the process steps involved in collecting and processing engine test data for use in understanding engine behavior. It describes the use of an aero-thermal cycle model for reduction and analysis of those data. The analysis process may include the calculation of modifiers to match the model to measured data and prediction of engine performance based on that analysis.

The following schematic diagrams reflect various methods of illustrating automotive transmission arrangements. These have been developed to facilitate a clear understanding of the functional interrelations of the gearing, clutches, hydrodynamic drive unit, and other transmission components. Two variations of transmission diagrams are used: in neutral (clutches not applied) and in gear. For illustrative purposes, some typical transmissions are shown.
