This document defines the test procedures and performance limits of steady state and transient voltage characteristics for 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V electrical power generating systems used in commercial ground vehicles.
This specification covers a low-alloy steel in the form of bars, forgings, mechanical tubing, and forging or tubing stock.
This supplement forms a part of SAE Aerospace Specification AS85421. It shall be used to identify fitting standards citing this procurement specification.
This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) describes a method for evaluating the performance of filter elements designed for aerospace hydraulic systems. The performance is measured and reported in terms of filtration ratios and stabilized contamination levels while testing with cyclic flow.
This specification covers continuous, multiple-strand, roving of Type "S-2" glass impregnated with a heat-curable epoxy resin matrix and processed to a "B" stage condition.
SCOPE IS UNAVAILABLE.
This Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) provides recommendations for the design and test requirements for a hydraulic thermal relief valve. The thermal relief valve is intended for use in a civil or military aircraft hydraulic system with a rated system pressure up to 5000 psi (34500 kPa).
This SAE Recommended Practice provides a standard procedure for testing the output performance and plotting the performance curve of air starting motors.
This specification covers the chromaticity and transmission requirements of aircraft lighting and light transmitting ware in descending order of transmission. It is intended for use in aviation lighting.
This SAE Recommended Practice provides a procedure for measuring quantitatively the physical characteristics of linear impactors that are believed to effect impact test accuracy, repeatability, and reproducibility. Suggested values and tolerance are also provided for specific applications of linear impactor testing (i.e., ejection mitigation tests, head form impact tests, body block tests). Two functional groups of linear impactors are considered: those whose function is related primarily to displacement, and those related to measuring acceleration or force.
This code is intended for commercial vehicles over 4500 kg (10 000 lb) with brake systems having typical service pressure ranges 0 to 14.1 mPa (0 to 2050 psi) hydraulic or 0 to 830 kPa (0 to 130 psi) air and is not directly applicable to vehicles with other systems. Air over hydraulic systems are to be tested as air systems.
This SAE Recommended Practice specifies graphic symbols for operator controls, gauges, tell-tales, indicators, instructions, and warning against risks in small craft and for engines and other equipment intended to be used in small craft.
This SAE Recommended Practice is part of the SAE J2534-2/X_0500 set of documents that extends the SAE J2534-1_0500 API (version 05.00) specification, and defines how to implement TP2.0 within the SAE J2534 API framework. This document details only the changes from SAE J2534-1_0500 and items not specifically detailed in this document are assumed to have not changed. An SAE J2534-2/7_0500 interface shall be compliant to the TP2.0 feature only when all the required functionality in this SAE Recommended Practice is implemented. Any functionality not required for compliance will be specifically marked as “optional” in this document. This document must be used in conjunction with the SAE J2534-2/BA_0500 and SAE J2534-2/RE_0500 documents.
This SAE Recommended Practice identifies some basic and general conditions that should be considered when making electrical starter motor applications.
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) provides the method for presentation of gas turbine engine steady-state and transient performance calculated using computer programs. It also provides for the presentation of parametric gas turbine data including performance, weight, and dimensions computed by computer programs. This standard is intended to facilitate calculations by the program user without unduly restricting the method of calculation used by the program supplier. This standard is applicable, but not limited to, the following program types: data reduction, steady-state, transient, preliminary design, study, specification, status, and parametric programs.
This document covers metric bolts and screws made from a corrosion and heat resistant, age hardenable nickel base alloy of the type identified under the Unified Numbering System as UNS N07718. The following specification designations and their properties are covered:
This SAE Recommended Practice is applicable to pneumatic Passenger Car “P” Type, Light Truck Metric, and Light Truck High Flotation tires, or similar tires approved by bodies other than Tire & Rim Association. The methodology is applicable within normal operating ranges of vertical load and inflation pressure, and for velocities between 115 km/h and 15 km/h (71 mph and 9 mph) during a relatively short duration event such as a coastdown. This procedure is applicable only to operation in the free-rolling mode at zero slip and camber angle for ambient temperatures between 20 °C and 28 °C (68 °F and 82 °F) and for surfaces with diameters of 1.2 m (48 in) diameter or greater. Details regarding the equipment, tires, and test methods used specifically for validation of this document are included in Appendix A. Two basic measurement methods covered by this document are as follows:
This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) covers the design, construction, performance and testing requirements for hand held aircraft tire inflation pressure gauges with valve stem attachment chuck to be used with all aircraft types. The ground-based gauges in this specification are those which are designed to read the tire inflation pressure from a position adjacent to the tire.
This SAE Standard presents the basic size and tolerance information for the design and manufacture of thrust washers. In most cases, the standard employs nominal figures in both metric and inch-pound units and, therefore, does not necessarily provide exact equivalents.
This specification covers a nitriding grade of premium aircraft-quality, low-alloy steel in the form of bars, forgings, mechanical tubing, and forging stock. AMS6496 and AMS6497 cover UNS K23280 with other quality levels.
