Material produced to this specification is not intended to be used for single flare applications due to the potential leak path that would be caused by the ID weld bead or scarfed region. Metallic Tubing Committee
This AS defines instruments which use inputs of static and pitot pressure equal to those which are utilized to establish the pressure altitude and speed of that aircraft. These pressures are applied to the instrument ports to provide means for generation of an aural warning whenever the aircraft reaches or exceeds the maximum operating limit speed. This Over Speed Warning Instrument function may be incorporated as part of an Air Data Computer, or an Air Speed Indicator, or an Air Speed/Mach Number Indicator, or other instruments. In those cases where the Over Speed Warning Instrument is part of another instrument, the standards contained herein apply only to the Over Speed Warning Instrument function. This standard focuses solely on the unique requirements of the operational processes that pertain to non-deliverable software as identified by clause 1.2. Operational processes not covered in this standard are addressed by the respective organization’s Quality Management System (QMS), based on the 9100-series (i.e., 9100, 9110, 9120) and/or ISO 9001 standards. If there is a conflict between the requirements of this standard, and customer or applicable statutory/regulatory requirements, the latter shall take precedence.
