This document defines the test procedures and performance limits of steady state and transient voltage characteristics for 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V electrical power generating systems used in commercial ground vehicles.
Truck and Bus Electrical Systems Committee
The testing techniques outlined in this SAE Recommended Practice were developed as part of an overall program tor testing and evaluating fuel consumption of heavy duty trucks and buses. The technique outlined in this document provides a general description of the type of equipment and facility which is necessary to determine the power consumption of these engine-driven components. It is recommended that the specific operating conditions suggested throughout the test be carefully reviewed on the basis of actual data obtained on the specific vehicle operation. If specific vehicle application is not known, see SAE J1343.
Truck and Bus Aerodynamics and Fuel Economy Committee
This SAE Standard provides a system for specifying significant material properties of thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) that are intended for, but not limited to, use in automotive applications. In all cases where provisions of this classification system would conflict with those of the detailed specifications for a particular product, the latter shall take precedence. This classification is based on SI units.
Committee on Automotive Rubber Specs
This specification covers one type of epoxy-resin-impregnated carbon fibers in the form of eight harness satin fabric woven from continuous fiber tow.
AMS P17 Polymer Matrix Composites Committee
SAE/USCAR-46 defines test methods and outputs for engine oil pump bench testing. Performance and durability testing are the primary focus of this standard. This is written to specifically address testing of electronically controlled variable displacement pumps but can be adapted to mechanically controlled pumps and other pump technologies as needed. This standard outlines critical inputs and outputs in order to perform the testing and report results, but does not specifically set the acceptance standards or pass/fail criteria. Acceptance criteria must be set by the customer.
USCAR
This SAE Recommended Practice has been established to provide direction for the design and installation of an identification number (IN) as assigned to vehicle engines, transmissions, and transaxles. The IN is used for tracking or traceability of these components. In adhering to these recommended practices, facility of application in factory production and appearance quality are matters for manufacturer control. Reference SAE J853.

E-25 General Standards for Aerospace and Propulsion Systems
AS5653 may be applied to Air Vehicles and Stores implementing MIL-STD-1760 Interface Standard for Aircraft/Store Electrical Interconnection System.
AS-1A Avionic Networks Committee
E-25 General Standards for Aerospace and Propulsion Systems
This SAE Recommended Practice establishes a standard method to perform screening test sequences that identify a brake friction material’s effectiveness under various test conditions. The result is an evaluation of brake friction material effectiveness under a set of defined braking conditions considered most relevant to automobile braking system development.
Brake Dynamometer Standards Committee
This specification covers a cobalt alloy in the form of wire, rod, strip, foil, and powder and a viscous mixture (paste) of the powder in a suitable binder.
AMS F Corrosion and Heat Resistant Alloys Committee
The air cranking system components, which include the tank, valve, hose, and starter, must be carefully selected to provide the necessary speed to start an engine under the most severe climatic conditions for which the system is intended. Engine cranking loads increase with cold temperatures, therefore, the initial selection of these components, needs to consider low-temperature engine torque requirements. To insure an adequate air cranking system is obtained, it is important that proper test procedures are used for obtaining the cranking load requirements of the engine.

This Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) clarifies terms used in Aerospace materials and process specifications. The terms clarified in this ARP are not intended to supersede those terms for which clarification is already provided in existing specifications.
AMS B Finishes Processes and Fluids Committee
This document describes analytical methods for calculating the attenuation of the level of the sound propagating from an airplane to locations on the ground and to the side of the flight path of an airplane during ground roll, climbout after liftoff, and landing operations. Both level and non-level ground scenarios may be modeled using these methods, however application is only directly applicable to terrain without significant undulations, which may cause multiple reflections and/or multiple shielding effects. This attenuation is termed lateral attenuation and is in excess of the attenuation from wave divergence and atmospheric absorption. The methods for calculating the lateral attenuation of the sound apply to: turbofan-powered transport-category airplanes with engines mounted at the rear of the fuselage (on the sides of the fuselage or in the center of the fuselage as well as on the sides) or under the wings propeller-driven transport-category or general-aviation airplanes
A-21 Aircraft Noise Measurement Aviation Emission Modeling
This SAE Recommended Practice describes methods for determining total and specular reflectance for mirrors with flat and curved surfaces and a method for determining diffuse reflectance and haze for mirrors with flat surfaces.
