This document defines the test procedures and performance limits of steady state and transient voltage characteristics for 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V electrical power generating systems used in commercial ground vehicles.
This specification covers a low-alloy steel in the form of bars, forgings, mechanical tubing, and forging or tubing stock.
This supplement forms a part of SAE Aerospace Specification AS85421. It shall be used to identify fitting standards citing this procurement specification.
This document is a guide to the application of magnesium alloys to aircraft interior components including but not limited to aircraft seats. It provides background information on magnesium, its alloys and readily available forms such as extrusions and plate. It also contains guidelines for “enabling technologies” for the application of magnesium to engineering solutions including: machining, joining, forming, cutting, surface treatment, flammability issues, and designing from aluminum to magnesium.
The purpose of this SAE Information Report is to provide basic information on penetrating radiation, as applied in the field of nondestructive testing, and to supply the user with sufficient information so that he may decide whether penetrating radiation methods apply to his particular inspection need. Detailed information references are listed in Section 2.
This SAE Standard establishes a uniform test procedure and performance requirement for limiting the maximum speed of a personal watercraft.
This SAE Standard presents the standard sizes, important dimensions, specialized measurement techniques, and tolerances for split type bushings. Both SI and inch sizes are shown; their dimensions are not exact equivalents. New designs shall use SI units. Unless specifically stated as ±, all tolerances are total.
This AIR provides information about the specific requirements for missile hydraulic pumps and their associated power sources.
See Table 1.
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) specifies the testing methods to be used to substantiate performance of air cargo containers, pallets and nets (Unit Load Devices) for airworthiness approval in accordance with NAS 3610 or AS36100.
This SAE Recommended Practice is intended to provide basic recommended practices for aid in the development and use of safe and efficient practices for all operations involving the production, handling, and dispensing of SAE J1703 motor vehicle brake fluids and SAE J1704 borate ester-based brake fluids.
This SAE Standard serves as a guide for testing procedures of automotive 12 V storage batteries. The information contained herein was originally developed based on traditional ICE operation but can be more broadly applicable to other vehicle architectures. Although the test procedures contained herein are written from the standpoint of a 12 V nominal battery, they can be scaled for batteries with different nominal voltages.
This specification covers a premium aircraft-quality maraging steel in the form of bars and forgings, 0.50 to 8.00 inches (12.7 to 203.2 mm) in nominal diameter or least distance between parallel sides, and forging stock of any size.
The purpose of this document is to provide guidance for the implementation of DVI for momentary intervention-type LKA systems, as defined by ISO 11270. LKA systems provide driver support for safe lane keeping operations via momentary interventions. LKA systems are SAE Level 0, according to SAE J3016. LKA systems do not automate any part of the dynamic driving task (DDT) on a sustained basis and are not classified as an integral component of a partial or conditional driving automation system per SAE J3016. The design intent (i.e., purpose) of an LKA system is to address crash scenarios resulting from inadvertent lane or road departures. Drivers can override an LKA system intervention at any time. LKA systems do not guarantee prevention of lane drifts or related crashes. Road and driving environment (e.g., lane line delineation, inclement weather, road curvature, road surface, etc.) as well as vehicle factors (e.g., speed, lateral acceleration, equipment condition, etc.) may affect the
This SAE Standard specifies the general requirements and test methods for non-shielded, high-voltage ignition cable assemblies.
This specification covers established manufacturing tolerances applicable to titanium and titanium alloy extruded bars, rods, and shapes. These tolerances apply to all conditions, unless otherwise noted. The term “excl” applies only to the higher figure of the specified range.
The test procedures and performance criteria are directed to operation and parking of agricultural tractors equipped with braking system(s) and having a maximum design speed exceeding 6 km/h. Combinations of agricultural towing machines equipped with braking systems and towed agricultural machines without braking systems are included in this SAE Standard.
This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) provides a review of real-time modeling methodologies for gas turbine engine performance. The application of real-time models and modeling methodologies are discussed. The modeling methodologies addressed in this AIR concentrate on the aerothermal portion of the gas turbine propulsion system. Characteristics of the models, the various algorithms used in them, and system integration issues are also reviewed. In addition, example cases of digital models in source code are provided for several methodologies.
