The World Record Saab Turbo Long Run Project

The Saab 9000 Turbo Long Run project demonstrated the performance and durability of a modern, turbocharged automobile in its standard, production form. By also having the international motor sport federation (FISA) sanction the test, Saab simultaneously achieved a series of full-speed time and distance records, up to and including 100,000 km. In FISA's Category B, Series Produced Automobiles, 21 International Records were established, while two World Records of 50,000 mi. and 100,000 km were also set, regardless of Category.
