Authors Abstract
Content
This paper deals with the large scale tests of industrial processes for reclamation and reuse of Automobile and Appliance Shredder Residue. Its conclusions also apply to mixed industrial and curbside separated post consumer plastic wastes.
We have determined the feasibility of and developed recipes for using this heterogeneous mixture of plastic scrap in compression molding, injection molding, extrusion and specialty molding, in additive compounded form using industrial processing equipment located at manufacturing plant laboratories.
The financial analysis has also been included taking into consideration the best estimates of the various costs using present day tax structures.
