Trends of Industrial Vehicles and Transports in the Unified European Market

The paper analyses how the perspective of a European "single market" in 1993 challenges all companies involved in road transport and surveys the role the IRU will have to play to help them. Not to much regulation is necessary but companies will have to develop their logistic thinking in order to optimize the use of their fleet: better communication systems, "just-in-time" delivery, automatic accounting, etc.
