This paper describes the test and evaluation phases of the Rohr Transbus program which was initiated by the Department of Transportation in 1972.
Vehicle testing was conducted both by Rohr Industries and by the prime contractor, Booz-Allen Applied Research. This report details the scope of this effort made to analyze the integrity and other qualities of these new buses.
An extensive program was conducted to evaluate the public and transit authority acceptance of the new designs incorporated in the Transbuses. This paper describes this program and details some basic information gathered as a result of this evaluation.
