- The National Aviation System in this country is composed of a number of interrelated parts. The pilot must be properly selected and adequately trained to function safely within this system. Such training must give the individual pilot the proper tools to adequately handle aircraft emergencies and manage those resources available within the cockpit. Training should also provide a system feedback loop through accident and incident investigation to assure that training is realistic and system deficiencies or operations are made known.
