Abstract

Content: A new Cruise Control Algorithm (CCA) commanding the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and the Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) of a 200 hp tractor was implemented on a Rapid Prototyping System (RPS) and successfully tested with an empty vehicle and with 16 t trailer from 0.5 to 50 kph. Low velocities required an extra controller and a good concept for transition to higher velocities.
