- Time-dependent fracture is considered. The damage distribution ahead of crack tip is analysed. The range of applicability of the characterizing parameter for the creep crack growth is discussed on the basis of fracture mechanics and continuum damage mechanics. The creep crack growth rate is determined under certain conditions.
