THREAT LETHALITY PREDICTION AND COGNITIVE DECISION AIDING WITH THE SURVIVABILITY PLANNNER ASSOCIATE REROUTER (SPAR)

The Survivability Planner Associate Rerouter (SPAR) program will develop survivability cognitive decision aiding (CDA) software for small manned unmanned (MUM) teams by providing a coordinated team response for cueing aircraft weapons/ASE systems and/or aircraft maneuvers to radar frequency (RF), infrared (IR) and acoustic threats. For manned systems, this will include threat intervisibility displayed to the pilot. The system will take into account pop-up and moving threats as well as those threats identified by pre-mission reconnaissance. Two main software components make up the SPAR system. The first is the Threat Lethality Predictor (TLP), which generates near real time threat effectiveness engagement data. The second component is the Cognitive Decision Aiding System (CDAS), which generates MUM team coordinated responses to data input from the TLP. For this program, these components will be integrated into both manned and unmanned existing mission management systems and demonstrated through laboratory flight simulations.
