Abstract
Content
Temperature of a basic module used for constructing a large deployable reflector was evaluated and the experimental results were compared with analysis. The thermal analysis model was made by using an antenna design system developed by NTT. This design system included input data files from the thermal, structural, and electrical analysis simultaneously. The estimated temperature was verified by an experiment in a space-simulated vacuum chamber. The temperature of the basic module was measured when the structure was irradiated with pseudo-solar power. In addition, the thermal distortion was evaluated on the basis of the analysis temperature.
