Testing and Debugging of P/C's in CIM Control

This paper outlines a research project in the development of software tools for the testing and debugging of control logic to be loaded into programmable controllers. Specifically addressed is the creation of a demonstration or prototype development system and the application of that system in programming control schemes for a material handling system in a model flexible manufacturing facility. Current and future project directions are also outlined in the final section of the paper.
