Technical Training for the United States Space Shuttle Program

United Space Alliance (USA) is the major corporate partner in the National Aeronautical and Space Agency's (NASA) Space Shuttle Program. This paper describes the major shift in NASA's operation of the Space Shuttle Program to the private sector. It describes USA's role in performing all Shuttle pre-flight processing, mission operations, and training to include astronauts. It focuses on the different types and methods of training for the Space Shuttle Program.
