- The SAE Radio Controlled Cargo Aircraft Competition (RCCA) is a newly developed SAE student design project. Aircraft are designed and built by student engineering teams and entered in an annual competitive event. Initiated by Western Michigan University SAE branch, it is intended to increase involvement of industry and students in SAE branches. This paper views increasing interest in this event, types of planes used and benefits of both industry and student engineering teams.
