Structural Integrity Challenges for Future Rotorcraft Programs

This paper presents a prioritized list of structural integrity challenges that future rotorcraft programs will face from the author's perspective. Discussion will present both technical and nontechnical challenges from the perspective of a co-author of MIL-STD-3063, the standard practice for a Rotorcraft Structural Integrity Program. The paper provides details for each challenge, as well as potential solutions from the author's perspective. Although not previously shared in a public forum, the author used earlier versions of the list as motivation for efforts that ultimately led to the development of MIL-STD-3063.
