It has been said that the reason so many things go wrong is because the world is run by tired men.
At first sight this may seem to be a rather simple view of a complex subject; but it is well known that prolonged stress leads to fatigue, and fatigue will impair sound decision making.
Much as been written and spoken about stress reduction. Most approaches are clinically sound but they do not easily translate into everyday application. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to provide professionals with recommendations for practical stress reduction activities, such as:
  • Each day talk to at least two people you really like.
  • Each day do at least one thing you really enjoy.
  • Celebrate each happy event to the fullest. reward yourself.
These and other stress reduction techniques covered in this paper focus on breaking up the prolonged exposure to stress to keep both body and spirit refreshed.
Application of those techniques will maintain a high degree of creativity, productivity, and satisfaction. This will enhance both quality of life and product … something we all strive for.
