- This report reviews Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS). These standards are, for the most part, identical or compatible with the corresponding U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. A brief review of a report on using daytime running lights as a crash avoidance countermeasure is given. In an effort to improve occupant protection the three point belt system is evaluated and performance criteria is analyzed.
