Simultaneous Reduction of Soot and NO _x in Diesel Engines by Homogeneous Catalysis of Group Platinum Metals

Simultaneous reduction of soot and NO_x can be achieved in diesel engines by the introduction of group platinum metals into the combustion chemistry. An after-market emissions control technique has been developed for on-highway and stationary applications of diesel engines providing significant reductions of soot and NO_x during transient and steady-state test cycles.
