Here the simulation accuracy of stamping using advanced sheet metal is of concern. Modeling of the constitutive behavior of advanced sheet metals plays a considerable influence on accuracy, so too do other algorithms, such as contact, draw bead and friction models, etc.
This paper concentrates on modeling validation of the constitutive behavior of the advanced sheet metals (AA6111/T4 and DP600) under stretch forming. Therefore, bulge tests, which minimize the influence of tool contacts (or contact and friction models), are chosen to introduce deformation under stretch forming operation. The FEA prediction has been compared with analytical and experimental results.
