This paper discusses the AEROSPATIALE Helicopter Division approach to Engineering, Production and Quality Control converging actions right from the start of the AS 350 project, and outlines the results obtained. This convergency, although necessary, is not sufficient and must supplemented by project management and customer representation. To avoid bitter disappointment during industrialization, engineers, jealous of their competency, have to widen even further their outlook, not only toward technical problems they usually solve but also toward human problems which have a direct effect on production and quality.
