Authors Abstract
Content
Proper design of underhood air-side systems has a significant affect on the performance of automotive cooling systems.
By designing and optimizing air-side systems to ensure proper airflow through and around components such as the radiator, oil cooler, and condenser, cooling system performance can be increased while decreasing component size and cost.
This paper discusses a method to increase system performance by optimizing the size and placement of vital cooling system components in an underhood environment.
