Semi-Metallics: A New Type of Friction Material

A new semimetallic type of friction material has been developed which offers improved frictional stability and high temperature wear resistance. Having minimal organic content, these materials avoid the thermal sensitivity to chemical and physical change characteristic of typical friction materials.
