- Methods of achieving crash-worthiness of aircraft in general are discussed. Specific conclusions are drawn with regard to the design loads for occupant restraint systems. A “ programmed break” concept for the fuselage of large aircraft is presented, and additional research which is needed to provide increased survival in accidents is suggested.
