Authors Abstract
Content
THE highest possible level of safety is of great importance to airline operators, and with the increasing use of larger airplanes carrying more passengers it becomes imperative to inquire into all possible means by which this safety level may be increased.
Mr. Lederer discusses discrepancies in present design, equipment, procedures, and mental attitudes and suggests improvements which can be made to overcome them. He also appends tables which break down into groups all accidents to airline airplanes for the period from 1938 through 1944.
