One important milestone for achieving the break through of hybrid and pure E-vehicles is the development of a competitive and reliable battery pack with a very high energy density. Presently the Li-Ion technology seems to be promising for achieving this goal. The development, improvement and production of such batteries requires technically well-versed, mature and above all safe test equipment. It is also important that this high-performance test technology for lithium-ion batteries properly addresses the potential hazards involved in working with high power densities besides attaining a maximum of process and measurement technology quality. Moehwald can provide this test equipment in production-level quality for development and prototyping as well as for series production from the cell level to the pack. As a competent systems builder in the explosion design field, the test equipment fulfills the highest safety levels of FreedomCAR abuse level 3 and EUCAR hazard level 7 in SIL 2.
