This is a compendium of various efforts, conducted since 1936 with associated test information to improve rotor/wing designs. Such may be related to the normally-wasted tip vortex locked-in rotation energy by modifications through various approaches. Testing in wind and water tunnels, on flying models/drones, and full-scale boats for force, performance, and sound effects have been conducted for well over 5000 fan and propeller configurations for evaluations. LAC quiet attic fans (-15dbA to standard) sell in Lowe’s while quiet computer fans are available from NMB, Panasonic, and others. Highly efficient noise-reduced heat sinks for overclocking of computer chips are produced by Millennium Thermal Solutions, LLC using LAC technologies. Typical designs a flying broomstick and a family by VSTOL to illustrate the use of some of these efficiency improvments are also presented herein. Detailed information presented on data herein are available through the noted references.
