- A new, safety-enhancing technology that adds programmability to a vehicle's directional-signal system is described by this paper. This transparent (to conventionally-operated signaling) upgrade features a proprietary, “pulsed-current-sensing” algorithm that allows drivers to tap in (via momentarylon-off signal-lever taps) various, maneuver-compatible durations of hands-free, lever-off signaling. It is a very-often-superior alternative to either of the two. common/rudimentary means by which merge/exit/lane-change signaling must now be operated.
