In order to satisfy customers who have come to expect sophisticated cars, Japanese automobile manufacturers now incorporate various complicated electronic control systems in their cars. New models with such complicated systems are being introduced at an accelerated pace, requiring dealership mechanics to study and learn these new mechanisms and systems in a shorter period of time. Under these circumstances, mechanics must now have skills both to diagnose and to repair these vehicles. The training methods adopted at the Mitsubishi Training Center are described in the following.
