- This paper describes the Omega drive power division system consisting of two paths, one a fixed gear train to accessory drives, the other an oil-actuated wet clutch capable of continuous slip under the control of the operator. It covers the following aspects: what the Omega system is, how the Omega valve controls speed, how the Omega clutch is controlled, how the clutch can be slipped continuously, clutch characteristics and requirements, and applications.
