Pilot Training in the Royal Air Force—Philosophy, Structure and Equipment

Pilot training philosophies are influenced by a number of national factors. This paper identifies and discusses those factors, and their effect upon the development of pilot training in the Royal Air Force. It describes the present RAF training structure, procedures and equipment, and highlights some of the problem areas.
