- Modeling of a battery provides a variety of possibilities to investigate working principles and performances. Generally, a model based on electric equivalent circuit components is widely used for analysis of battery performance and design of management system. However, this approach hardly considers charge and mass transport and energy equation including electrochemical reactions. One of options is based on electrochemical and thermal principle. We developed a dynamic model for Li-polymer battery based on the electrochemical and thermal principle and used it to analyze static and dynamic performances. In this paper, we highlighted variations of overpotentials, efficiency, terminal voltage and temperature at a step current input.
