Part Quality Trends and Requirements

Significant improvements in part reliability and part quality have been achieved during the past 10 years. However, customer expectations have increased even further and today's part reliability and quality does not meet those expectations. This paper reviews the trends in parts improvement during the past 10 years and discusses future requirements necessary to obtain quality and reliability demanded by customers.
