Overview of Military Technology at NASA Langley

Langley Research Center continues to play a major role in supporting military aircraft with its applied research programs. These research programs in almost all cases were initiated prior to any involvement with a military aircraft and, as a result, gave Langley an opportunity to respond to military interest in a timely manner and advance its own research by this participation.

In each of the areas presented, Langley's involvement clearly improved aircraft system performance, increased the understanding of the phenomena, and strengthened the in-house research studies.
